As you will have
guessed the event was a bit of a wash-out, though John Gabb and I had a
pleasant walk around in the wind and rain. There was little to hear or see.
However Monday's
glorious weather, 30th April, brought out all we had hoped to see, including

 Corydalis solida Two new plant species have been discovered by Peter Hill in
the Darley and Nutwood Local Nature Reserve - one is the common weed Hairy
Bittercress, the other is on the river side of the path just north of the steps
down to the river, with the Butterbur. Peter is sure it is Bird-in-a-bush
considered by some not to be a native - but first recorded as naturalised in
the wild in 1796!
